Pander (also a new addition to the cast) and Robo-Z Gold are the only hidden characters that have a unique dance style, other hidden characters merely mimicked other characters' dance moves. Some new hidden characters were also introduced into the game, and could be unlocked after completing certain tasks. These were replaced by several new characters: Comet, Bi-O, and Tsutomu. The initial characters Heat, Hiro, Kelly, Kitty-N, Shorty,Strike and Capoeira were retained from the original Bust a Groove and removed several of the original game's characters which includes Pinky, Hamm, Frida, Gas-O and the secret character Burger Dog (but makes a cameo in Comet's stage). This occurs if both players were able to finish the stage with close high scores. In some cases, both the winner and loser may dance together during a special Fever Time. If a player obtains a high score by completing a stage with very few mistakes or missed actions, a special dance solo starring the winner of the round takes place immediately after the round ends. This time, the player could now do a 'reflect move' and guard attacks. The game also included 2 new commands aside the somersault and "Jammer" (attack) moves. In Bust a Groove 2 there is a standard two-player versus mode, a practice mode to help you get accustomed to timing the fourth beat, and a dance-view mode that allows you to cycle through each dancer's individual moves and string them together to make your own dances." When all three bars are filled to capacity, your points are doubled for every dance move made during that time. Also, a new meter sits in the middle of the screen that tracks every "Cool, Chillin', and Freeze" event and moves up accordingly. The popularity meter has been axed now your character has a small border around his or her name that changes in color depending on how well you're dancing. " The single-player game has changed - it now features branching paths in the single-player game that move you up to more difficult opponents depending on how well you're dancing. However, backgrounds have become crazier if a player attains high scores, background stages will sport crazy effects and changes (see Fever Time). Bust a Groove 2's gameplay is still the same from the previous title.

Resource priorities are determined by order of installation (NMM and manual) or order of mod folders in mod managers (Vortex and MO2.)Īrchived files = resource files distributed packed inside BA2 files. Good for character creation files, bad for textures, meshes (etc.), because game needs to load each large file individually. Game needs to also load each of them individually. I console Showlooksmenu Player 1 and its the default. I have ran the game with no mods, then just LM, and nothing is different. I just reinstalled the game, latest version of LM, latest F4SE, everything is updated. Loose files = unpacked from distribution archive as individual files. I have never been able to get looksmenu (LM) to work. Vortex and MO2 use different method, where loose files are actually managed by mod manager and resource priorities take effect according to mod folder order in the manager. It handles them by order of installation, physically placing them under Data folder subfolders and then physically overwriting them if conflicts appear, according to order you install your files. Loos files are one of the reasons why people have moved away from (buggy) NMM. Archive requires plugin to get loaded by the game. Plugins are needed for resource files, if they are distributed inside BA2. They are using loose files, which will win all conflicts against files in BA2 archives. Most of such mods do not use plugins at all.

Meanwhile, in 2004 the Open Source Azureus project was started and continued on via Vuze. BitTorrent is currently considered ADWARE and should be avoided. The cryptocurrency TRON Foundation bought the BitTorrent company in 2018, at which point creator Bram Cohen left the company. As of version 6, BitTorrent became proprietary software. As a result, BitTorrent was forced to 'play nice' with the media industry or face lawsuits. As of version 5 in 2006, BitTorrent came under the scrutiny of the MPAA (Motion Picture Association of America) and the RIAA (Recording Industry Association of America) due to copyright infringement by BitTorrent users. Azureus and its descendents are based on this code. Versions 1 - 4 of their software were Open Source via various licenses. The BitTorrent company was formed in 2004. It is also the name of the original, very first BT client, created by Bram Cohen in 2001. "BitTorrent" (BT) is the name of a file sharing protocol. If you like bells and whistles, aka Geek Meter in the RED, you want BiglyBT. I personally use the latest version of Transmission along with an up-to-date blocking list. Built-in bandwidth boosterīitTorrent auto-adjusts bandwidth usage, based on your network and Internet connection, to ensure fast file delivery. With BitTorrent, there are no limits to the number of files you can download, or the amount of data you can move. Which means your downloads move a lot faster. Since the files are broken down into tiny bites, you use less bandwidth. The files are then downloaded, piece by piece, from one or many different sources. Our technology breaks big files down into small pieces. Its advantage over plain HTTP is that when multiple downloads of the same file happen concurrently, the downloaders upload to each other, making it possible for the file source to support very large numbers of downloaders with only a modest increase in its load. It identifies content by URL and is designed to integrate seamlessly with the web. BitTorrent is a protocol for distributing files. If mass is so important, then why do scales often give us our weight in pounds? However, when we put it all into a single system of measurement, we find that the value for mass on Earth and weight on Earth are nearly identical. These back-of-the-napkin calculations should be simple, but can become tricky because it’s also a conversation between the international metric system and the Imperial system. Because weight is really a measurement of force, we can derive it from mass using the equation F = mg where F is force (measured in Newtons), m is an object’s mass, and g is the force of gravity which is 9.8 meters/second 2 on Earth. The international unit for measuring mass is the kilogram, whereas the common measurement for weight in the U.S. These differences can go unnoticed in everyday life, but have the potential to become catastrophic in extreme scenarios-such as measuring the mass of fuel an airplane needs for a safe landing, or the weight of a spacesuit on the moon. Yet, while we might refer to a pound of apples in one breath and 14 grams of butter in another, these units of measurement are actually very different. For example: Pascals to measure pressure, Candles to measure light intensity, and even Smoots to measure the distance across the Charles River from Boston to MIT’s campus.ĭetermining the heft of things around us-from apples at the grocery store to dumbbells at the gym-is a much more common scenario. In science, there are thousands of ways to measure the world around us that the average person may never encounter. How fundamental particles of matter acquire mass is still a puzzle to scientists.Mass and weight should not be confused-weight depends on the force of gravity, but an object’s mass does not change. Measuring mass accurately can be crucial in some cases, like calculating how much fuel you need in an airplane.Because Boson X feels too much like it's a slave to randomness, it fails at living up to the bar that other challenging survival games have set. To do the Super Hexagon formula well, the game can throw difficult challenges at the player, but the challenges and rewards have to be fair. Boson X's scoring and challenge being based on the randomness makes it unsatisfying.Īnd really, I think that's what hurts Boson X. The deal is clearly delineated from the start. Leaving the track might result in greater rewards, but it might not. Granted, Impossible Road features plenty of moments where failure feels inevitable, but because the scoring system is clearly delineated, that every so often a gate will appear and not crossing it means zero points. Boson X gives the player time to ruminate and it can become quite easy to blame the game, not for the player to blame themselves. Not so much in Boson X, where if there are no blue sections, there are no points.Īs well, the game's pacing being much slower hurts it, too: the moments of clearly-inevitable failure are just frustrating, when trying to make a jump that one knows won't succeed, especially since there's no way to maneuver in midair. In Super Hexagon and in Pivvot's endless modes, scoring by time is always the great equalizer: no matter how hard it got, as long as players stayed alive, they were being rewarded for it. Getting more blue sections early on helps score more than survival does. Scoring is based not off of time, but off of running over blue sections of land. But the key that keeps Boson X from being great is in that it's just never really satisfying. Getting 100% unlocks new levels and makes the current one go at hyper speed.īoson X has a great look to it, and while it's not simple to the bone, it's still easy enough to get into. Players are given six different levels where they must try to reach 100% charge (to simulate particle collision) by running over blue sections to charge up the meter which also serves as the score. Already, it's a system that's not quite simple. By tapping left or right on the screen, players can switch lanes, by tapping and holding they can switch and jump, and by tapping and holding with both thumbs, they can jump straight forward. The setup of the game is that players run inside a hexagonal prism, with the ability to switch lanes and/or jump across gaps. It requires a keen balance between the challenge and the scoring, and that's what this game unfortunately lacks. The Super Hexagon formula is a very difficult one to nail, as Boson X shows.
